Duties
This position is part of a centralize administrative unit, which is responsible for all administrative programs (financial and day- to-day support) for Headquarters and/or regional personnel, to include human resources, budget, accounting and finance, travel, payroll, purchase card program, procurement requisitions, and accident report quality check.
Duties and responsibilities as a Mission Support Specialist, GS-0301-11, include:
Serving as the first-level of contact for any day-to-day administrative support.
Extracting and arranging budgetary data from a wide variety of budget forms and accounting records for report purposes using the automated system.
Reviewing procurement requisitions (PR) packages for accuracy and completeness.
Acting as liaison with other organizations, including representing the agency's interests and establishing harmonious working relationships with the public, other government agencies, vendors and team members.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Males born after 12/31/59 must be registered for Selective Service. Selective service registration is required for males age 18 or older unless an exception is met.

- Bargaining Unit Position: YES - Bargaining unit represented by NTSB-AFGE Local 2211.

- Status candidates must meet time-in-grade requirements (52 weeks at the next lower grade level) by the closing date of this announcement. Only experience and education obtained by the closing date of this announcement will be considered.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, you must meet one of the following Minimum Qualification:
GS-11:You must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) performing at minimum (3) of the (4) duties listed below:
Using automated systems to track, compile and/or forward technical, payroll, or financial reports.
Performing task associated with creating purchase requisitions/orders for office supplies, equipment, or services.
Reconciling and/or paying invoice charges including travel claims and reimbursement.
Reviewing accident investigation documents for format, grammar, punctuation, style, and completeness.
OR successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree (e.g. LL.M) or three (3) full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree at an accredited college or university in a related field; (Must submit transcripts)
OR a combination of the required experience and education for this grade level. (Must submit transcripts)
