This position is located at Departmental Offices, Terrorism and Financial Intelligence-Office of Foreign Assets Control, OFAC. As a Records and Information Management Specialist, you will be serving as a Senior Program Specialist in the Records Management Section.

As a Records and Information Management Specialist, you will:
Update the OFAC-wide data-based recordkeeping system, OFAC Administrative System for Investigations and Sanctions (OASIS); recommend changes and additions to Records Management Section policies, processes, procedures, and workflow.
Perform analyses of, and provide recommendations related to records management technical and administrative matters, including serving as RMS advisor on file plans, records retention schedules and disposition, and records transfers and retrievals to/ from the Federal Records Center, and electronic recordkeeping.
Assist in performing a variety of sensitive program and operations reviews, and with projects requiring the research and review of OFAC records and documents.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized experience for the GS-13: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service which has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience for this position includes the of the following:
Applying a wide range of records management principles, concepts, methodologies and practices; AND
Reviewing, discerning, and entering into an organizational database data about incoming, internal, and outgoing correspondence; AND
Applying analytic and evaluative methods, and common software applications to assess, conduct, and report task/project outcomes; AND
Applying appropriate administrative procedures related to the conduct of records inventories, record retention scheduling, and determination of disposition; AND
Assisting customers and providing records management program implementation guidance, problem resolution, and assistance.
TIME-IN-GRADE: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-13, you must have been at the GS-12 level for 52 weeks.
TIME AFTER COMPETITIVE APPOINTMENT: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
