About the Position: Serve as a Program Integrator that develops, reviews, coordinates, and provides inputs to major requirements, documents, development plans, and decision papers required IAW DOD Directives 5000.1 and 5000.2 and other guidance in order to proceed into next Program Life Cycle Phase.
This is a pay banded position. The NH-03 band encompasses grades 12 and 13 under the General Schedule (GS) system.
Duties
Leads preparation of acquisition milestone documentation, including development of Acquisition Strategy, and integration of various functional requirements within and external to the PMO.
Provides procedural advice and assistance concerning preparation of these documents to other operating elements within the project office and other supporting government agencies.
Maintains a current knowledge of the total weapons system acquisition process to ensure accuracy, completeness, and applicability of data, milestone time phasing, technical and functional descriptions of the program and weapon system.
Plans, conducts, and/or analyzes highly-complex studies/analyses to improve the total acquisition process.
Studies may cross organizational lines within the PEO and various levels throughout the Army and OSD.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- This position requires submission of Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, upon entering the position and annually thereafter.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Program Management certification within 60 months as of entrance on duty.

Specialized Experience: One year specialized experience equivalent to the NH-2/GS-11 grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal service that includes 1) Experience interpreting acquisition rules and regulations; 2) Experience analyzing acquisition process and identifying process improvement opportunities; and 3) Experience with preparation of acquisition documentation such as milestone documentation, decision papers, and development plans.
