You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN) in the DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY/SPAWAR SYSTEMS COMMAND of NAVWARSYSCEN PACIFIC SAN DIEGO CA.
Duties
You will manage, lead, and perform work that involves developing, delivering or supporting IT systems and services.
You will provide expert technical and programmatic advice, guidance, and recommendations to management and stakeholders on critical IT issues.
You will acquire, manage, and allocate resources to lead and complete multidimensional, complex tasks with multiple dependencies independently, mentor others regularly, and lead others to accomplish complex, cross-organizational goals.
You will manage the execution of installation funding in accordance with approved fielding and spend plans.
You will monitor, track, and ensure accuracy of Program Manager Warfare alteration information in SPAWAR PEO Integrated Data Environment and Repository (SPIDER) and Navy Data Environment (NDE).

- This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 801 Advanced Level within 6 months of appointment.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- Generally, current Federal employees applying to STRL jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. All qualifications and pay band requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement and documented in your resume.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or NO-04 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Managing Installation processes, procedures and resources; Providing resolution to installation problems associated with Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) installations and upgrades.
Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
