You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the STRIKE WEAPONS & UAV DIVISION, LOGISTICS INTEGRATION DEPARTMENT of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE. You will be supporting PMA-242 Direct Strike (DS)/Precision Strike Munitions program, located in Patuxent River Maryland. This LMS position is physically located in Huntsville Alabama.
Duties
You will provide logistics technical assistance regarding logistics topics, issues and concerns.
You will assist in determining logistics support resources for maintenance planning, technical data, training, facilities, computer resources, and packaging requirements.
You will prepare and implement integrated logistics support (ILS) plans for DOD weapon/target acquisition and in-service systems/equipment.
You will prepare and manage budgets for cognizant programs and ensure system support during deployment, operation, and sustainment.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (DS-03) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Providing logistics technical assistance regarding product support/sustainment, system safety and addressing fleet/stakeholder concerns.; 2) Interfacing with commercial and organic repair activities with induction/design flow scheduling and tracking progress; 3) Maintaining data as it applies to readiness and inventory status of weapon systems and associated equipment; 4) Coordinating and scheduling repair actions between external stakeholders for both commercial and organic repair; 5) Assisting those that develop training programs for fleet personnel by assisting in review, revising, update training programs including training plans, training courseware and training aides; 6) Demonstrating knowledge and experience with total life cycle logistics support management.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.M., if related
