Duties
Provide direction, assistance, and support for the total package fielding of Aviation and Landpower Advisory Program related equipment or transferred defense articles and services considered for integration into the Modernization Program.
Is responsible for force modernization development and systems acquisition.
Serve as the program focal point for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) system synchronization, force development, and integration of Security Assistance Enterprise stakeholders,
in support of the total package fielding and sustainment of Aviation or Landpower Advisory Program systems.
Plan and program integrated life cycle logistics support for systems.
Develop procedures and systems used to manage force integration issues and functions as an integral part of the overall fielding effort.
Coordinate and participate as required in formal and informal meetings with the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customer senior military representatives.
Participate in the preparation and coordination of staff studies, technical correspondence, and new cases for submission to higher headquarters.
Prepare and submit recommendations to supervisors regarding modification and amendment of FMS cases and contracts, termination, and other program changes.
Establish workload priorities and initiates assignments based on the difficulty, complexity, type of work and employee capabilities.
Evaluate team members performance, provides advice, counsel, and instruction on technical and administrative matters, and effect minor disciplinary measures, e.g., warnings and reprimands and recommends action in the more serious cases.
Interview candidates for key vacant positions and makes sound selections considering all criteria.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience at the GS-13 in the Federal Service or equivalent, which includes:
1) Developing and managing Foreign Military Sales (FMS) cases; and
2) Developing procedures to manage weapon systems integration issues and functions; and
3) Planning and developing integrated life-cycle logistics support for security assistance system(s) and program(s).
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
