About the Position: The incumbent serves as the Liaison Officer between Tobyhanna Army Depot (TYAD) and Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) located in Huntsville, AL.

Duties

Performs Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) to the life cycle management of a variety of Communications-Electronics (C-E) equipment/sub-components/systems managed and supported for IFMC. Leads the planning, coordination, direction, evaluation, and implementation of logistical actions in support of the projects/programs between TYAD, other agencies, Project/Program/Product Managers (PMs), and/or Project Executive Officers (PEOs). Develops, implements, and makes use of techniques necessary to identify and provide timely, accurate responses to customer inquiries related to the forward support/fabrication/overhaul/repair and sustainment of programs and workload at TYAD. Acts as a liaison to identify specific requirements for funds, manpower, material, facilities, and services needed to provide depot-level support for the logistics program and coordinate these requirements with TYAD program plans, Coordinates and assists in the development of logistics planning requirements for program management plans such as the Integrated Logistics Support Plan (ILSP), Depot Maintenance Support Plans (DMSP), etc. Formulates alternative support concept to achieve IFMC objectives, as required. Ensures pertinent information is immediately provided to the responsible organizations and management stakeholders within TYAD and Program Office Evaluates logistical problems which may arise during the system acquisition planning stages concerning equipment evaluations, program funding and costing, scheduling, etc., and identifies them to appropriate depot organization and representative.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a Non-Critical Sensitive SECRET clearance.
  • This position requires TDY up to 50% of the time.
  • This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from the Project Management Institute within two years of appointment to this position.
  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position (Foundational). Selectee must meet position requirements for Life Cycle Logistics Certification within 36 months from entrance on duty.
  • This position requires you to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450. (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I USOGE, 6/08) upon entering the position and annually, in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.

(1) Position may be filled as a temporary promotion or temporary reassignment NTE 1 year by a current permanent Army employee. Temporary promotions or reassignments may be extended up to a maximum of five years and may be made permanent without further competition. (2) Position may be filled as a temporary appointment NTE 1 year, if candidate is not a current permanent Army employee. Temporary appointments may be extended up to a maximum of three years.
