You will serve as a Transportation Assistant (Counselor) in the Navy Household Goods/Personal Property Shipping Office (HHG/PPSO) Store Front Section of NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER JACKSONVILLE.

Duties
You will review orders and determine the extent of entitlements and eligibility for the shipment.
You will prepare additional documents as required, i.e., counseling checklist, customs forms, and Voucher/Pay Adjustment Authorization.
You will conduct inspections.
You will respond to all member/employee and TSP requests for information/assistance.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Qualifications
I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-04) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a Transportation Assistant (Counselor). I have experience providing counseling and entitlements in arranging and coordinating pickup, personally procured move, shipment and/or storage of household goods, unaccompanied baggage, privately owned vehicles, boats, mobile homes and household goods. Specialized experience must include all or most of the following duties; 1.) Utilizing basic job-relevant information systems and/or software applications, such as word-processing, spreadsheets, automated research tools, database applications, and the internet; 2.) Assisting customers with routine requests; 3.) Communicating with members/employees, their dependents or agents to elicit their shipment needs and services.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
