You will serve as a IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) in ORG RS10N3 of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CTR CORONA DIV, Corona, California.

Duties

You will serve as a Navy and Marine Corps Validator and Security Compliance Assessor, performing Independent Verification and Validation Audits, You will support all activities defined in DIACAP and Risk Management Framework, You will provide leadership and expertise in all matters pertaining to Cyber Security and Information Assurance, You will provide insight to managers and branch members on specific security risks and provide a mitigation plan to reduce or eliminate these risks, You will perform Security Analyses and Design from a security perspective, ensuring personnel are aware of potential risks, You will provide an appropriate mitigation strategy to reduce or eliminate identified risks, You will develop written plans and documentation, meet deadlines, and participate in all Information Assurance activities relating to assigned projects, You will serve as Validator and Security Compliance Assessor, or Information Assurance Technician, dependent on project or technology deployed.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This position is designated a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain credentials described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for Security Control Assessor, Master level, within specified timelines.
  • A minimum of 40 hours of Cyber IT/CSWF related continuous learning must be completed annually and documented in your current individual development plan (IDP) signed by you and your supervisor.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 pay band (GS-11/12 equivalent) or grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public performing Information Technology audits and assessments to determine security risks and provide mitigation plans to reduce or eliminate risks discovered. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
