Duties

You will reviews incoming and outgoing correspondence, provides applicable executive summaries, interpretation of policy implications, or cogent recommendations pertaining to content. You will prepare briefings, handbooks, reports, slides, forms, correspondence, etc. using Microsoft Office. You will organize, manage and present information to include recommendations, both formally and informally, via oral and written means. You will provide administrative management and technical support duties in the form of calendar maintenance/scheduling, travel planning and coordination, and office supply management. You will ensure employees are using the correct funding, Defense Travel System (DTS) orders are filled out properly, and all required documentation is attached.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Qualifications

GS 9: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector utilizing a knowledge of programs, regulations, policies, and goals to develop and improve management controls; enhance administrative services and procedures; and conduct short and long range planning. I have experience in assisting a wide variety of staff and organizational elements responsible for researching, developing, and preparing documents, position papers, and projects and briefings for command leaderships. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Assisting all departments with travel orders, vouchers, and funding availability, ensuring Travel Orders/Vouchers are filled out properly with all required documentation attached; 2) Reviewing incoming and outgoing correspondence, providing applicable executive summaries, interpretation of policy implications, and cogent recommendations pertaining to content; 3) Providing support for all office administrative operations as well as calendar maintenance/scheduling, travel planning and coordination and office supply management; 4) Organizing, managing, and presenting information to include recommendations, both formally and informally, via oral and written means. GS 11: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector utilizing a knowledge of programs, regulations, policies, and goals to develop and improve management controls; enhance administrative services and procedures; and conduct short and long range planning. I have experience coordinating a wide variety of staff and organizational elements responsible for researching, developing, and preparing documents, position papers, and projects and briefings for command leaderships. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Providing support for all office administrative operations as well as calendar maintenance/scheduling, travel planning and coordination and office supply management; 2) Managing department's travel orders, vouchers, and funding availability, ensuring Travel Orders/Vouchers are filled out properly with all required documentation attached; 3) Reviewing incoming and outgoing correspondence, providing applicable executive summaries, interpretation of policy implications, and cogent recommendations pertaining to content; 4) Organizing, managing, and presenting information to include recommendations, both formally and informally, via oral and written means. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

GS-9: Master's or equivalent graduate degree

or

2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.B. or J.D., if related

GS-11: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

or

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.M., if related
