You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) in the LIVE VIRTUAL CONSTRUCTIVE TRAINING DIVISION, RANGE SYSTEMS ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CTR CORONA DIV.
Duties
You will provide leadership to government and contractor personnel responsible for system security and accreditation.
You will perform day to day Cybersecurity and information systems security management functions including process development and oversee execution of Risk Management Framework Assessment and Authorization for NCTE managed systems/networks.
You will apply Cybersecurity policy, tactics, techniques, policy, and doctrine to ensure all systems assigned are continuously “Cybersecurity inspection ready.
You will provide Cybersecurity technical evaluation of security risks, threats and vulnerabilities to networks, systems, applications and new technology initiatives.
You will provide support in the security-based planning, implementation, and sustainment of new requirements.
You will facilitate the preparations for Command Cyber Readiness Inspections (CCRI) and Cyber Security Inspections (CSI).
You will ensure the use and compliance of standards and SOPS in the deployment, operations and maintenance of information systems.
You will Provide informed program-related advice, information, and guidance regarding current and future information systems concepts, doctrine, methods, practices, operations, and technologies.

- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area Info System Security Manager Level Intermediate within 12 months of appointment.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the pay band NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: leading research and analysis on computer software and hardware to identify cybersecurity and performance vulnerabilities to develop and direct mitigation plans to reduce or eliminate security risks. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
