The selectee of this position serves as a Supervisory Management and Program Analyst responsible for planning, managing, overseeing, and administering the Division's operational and long-range strategic planning for future resource needs, budgeting, auditing functions, property management, records management, managing office contracts and procurements.
This position is located in the Office of Security Systems (OSS), Judicial Security Division (JSD), United States Marshals Service (USMS).
Duties
As a Supervisory Management and Program Analyst at the GS-0343-14 grade level, some of your typical work assignments may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Evaluates alternative proposals or corrective remedies for current and planned programs, impacts on other related programs, and overall organizational resource requirements.
Develops and manages the JSD office budget, monitoring the use of resources throughout the JSD.
Establishes fiscal, budget, and human resources requirements for the office and controls expenditures.
Reviews pending/proposed policies and regulations which may have an impact on JSD. Analyzes and assesses assigned programs to determine ways to improve business practices.
Assures that property and equipment is properly accounted for and maintained according to laws, regulations, and policies.

Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a favorable determination of suitability for a Public Trust position.
- May be required to successfully complete a trial/probationary period.
- May be required to successfully complete a supervisory probationary period.
- Must be a Current Department of Justice (DOJ) employee and meet time-in-grade requirements for consideration. (52 weeks at the next lower grade level)

Qualifications
This will be a Temporary Promotion not to-exceed (NTE) one year that can be terminated at any time.
TIME-IN-GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Merit Promotion applicants must provide an SF50 Notice of Personnel Action that indicates proof of status and time-in-grade eligibility. The SF50 must include the position, title, series, grade, step, tenure, type of service (Competitive or Excepted) and career status (career or career-conditional). No award SF50 will be accepted as proof of status and time-in-grade eligibility.
One year at the GS-13 grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-14 grade level.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the education and/or experience required for the grade level(s) to which you apply.
Specialized Experience: Experience that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. You must have at least one year (12 months) of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service performing the following duties:
Leading studies and/or research that evaluates a program's effectiveness towards meeting set objectives;
Reviewing proposed initiatives and/or legislation to assess possible impact on current programs and operations;
Developing database resources that produce analytical and statistical reports; and
Recommending changes to policy or procedures related to methods for statistical data collection, analysis, and reporting.
