This position is located at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), External Affairs Division. The incumbent serves as a supervisor and expert technical advisor and administrator managing and directing all business functions for the Division. Supports the Associate Director or the Deputy Associate Director and staff with wide latitude for independent judgment.
Duties
As a Supervisory Administrative Officer (Resources Management Officer), you will:
Serve as the Resources Management Officer making authoritative recommendations, exercising professional judgement, initiative, and leadership while planning, directing, and coordinating administrative and business management activities for the Division.
Responsible for formulating, interpreting and applying major administrative management policies, principles, procedures, and long-range planning for the Division.
Possess creativity to provide strategic thinking and political savvy to communicate and solve complex administrative management problems in the organization's best interest.
Analyze organizational priorities and provide a wide range of liaison services to support program and/or administrative functions, including the development and implementation of policies and procedures for the organization.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience: For the CN-61, you must have one-year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the CN-53 level in the Federal Service (for qualification purposes, the CN-53 is broadly equivalent to the GS-13). Specialized experience is defined as:
- Experience managing a major administrative program such as budget and financial management, human resources management, acquisition management, IT, facilities, travel; AND
- Experience developing and implementing policies, objectives, standards, and procedures for administrative program functions; AND
- Experience with budget and financial management, human capital management, acquisition management, and facilities (such as office space, equipment, property, or supplies) management.

Part-time experience will be credited pro-rata based on a 40-hour work week, while work of 32 hours or more will be rounded up to full-time experience.
