Job opening: Budget Analyst

Salary: $112 015 - 145 617 per year

About the Position: Serve as a Budget Analyst in the US Army Enterprise Services Agency (ESA), Chief Information Office (CIO), with responsibility managing, planning, organizing, and administrating annual and multi-year budgeting in support of a wide range of administrative, analytical and management activities.

Duties

Conducts cost comparison studies of current and/or projected programs. Advises program managers and management officials on the status and availability of funds. Develop justification to support short- and long-range program goals and objectives. Recommends financial strategies for meeting program requirements. Provide budget policy guidance to an organization. Develops budget/program processes, procedures and/or guidance for executing financial management plans and programs. Assist in the budget formulation and/or justification for multiple centralized and/or decentralized activities. Provides budget projection assumptions, guidance, and /or technical assistance to lower level agencies. Monitors monthly obligations, expenditures, and work-year limitations for assigned accounts. Utilize budgetary systems, and/or personal analytical products for the oversight of a budget. Managing and administrating annual and multi-year budgeting in support of a wide range of activities.

Requirements

  • Must be able obtain and maintain SECRET clearance,
  • Occasional travel may be required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes, Execute financial program operations using a variety of applications and/or systems such as General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS); Provide guidance in the development of annual and long-range budgetary requirements; Prepare and defend detailed financial planning justifications and Analyze financial data to ensure execution of resources. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
