Position may be filled as a temporary promotion or temporary reassignment not to exceed 3 years by a current permanent Army Employee. Temporary promotions or reassignments may be extended up to a maximum of five years and may be made permanent without further competition.
Position may be filled as a TERM appointment not to exceed 3 years if candidate is NOT a current permanent Army employee. TERM appointments may be extended up to a maximum of eight years.
Duties
Responsible for preparation, development, scheduling, and execution of various facets of Civilian Readiness Processing (CRP) and mobilization.
Develop, plan, and execute complex, multi-site, and cross organizational training events, facility scheduling, coordination, programs, and projects for the AECW and DoD Expeditionary Civilian trainees.
Conducts detailed analysis of complex requirements and integrating tasks into the plans and daily training and operations.
Perform program support activities for the directorate relating to the development, preparation, and coordination of program management and execution of civilian mobilization, training and readiness.
Participate in strategic planning sessions to develop program strategies and establish marketing techniques.

- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Must be able to travel on occasion.

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience and/or education requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. GS-12: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes development, planning, and execution of complex multi-site and cross organizational training events for an organization; identify resources required to support varied levels of program operations; analyze new or proposed regulation to determine impact on program operations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
GS-12 Education: Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For the GS-12 level, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
GS-12 Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
GS-11: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing coordination of training events for organizations; confirming individual training requirements are met per policy/guidance; preparing reports and/or briefs for higher ranking officials; utilizing an automated database to record completed training. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
OR
GS-11 Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Human Resources Management.
OR
GS-11 Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
