About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the 7th Signal Command located at Fort Eisenhower, GA.
Duties
Serves as a Military Human Resources Specialist in the 7th SC (T), performing a wide range of military personnel duties in support of the Commander, the command staff, and subordinate elements geographically dispersed throughout CONUS.
Provide specialized knowledge and expertise to General Officer (GO) level leaders in the HQs as well as military management representatives from Brigade and Group levels down to the battalion and company level S1 offices.
Responsible for military HR programs, including strength management, evaluations, awards, separations, retirements, personnel actions, rating schemes, position authorizations, personnel assignments, retention boards, and promotion/selection boards.
Provides analysis and recommendations to the subordinate commands on officer and enlisted personnel management, assignment, reassignment, distribution, utilization, and other critical positions within the command.
Analyzes, monitors, and provides a wide degree of program oversight of the command's military strength.
Manages the completion of officer and enlisted evaluation reports and ensures accuracy prior to submission to HRC through the Evaluation Entry System (EES).
Reviews militaryawards coming into/through the HQs ensuring they are prepared correctly and comply with Armyregulations higher echelon policies.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Position is designated as Non-Critical Sensitive. A SECRET clearance must be obtained and maintained with SECRET access is required.
- TDY approximately 15%.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one year of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by providing advice or guidance on a range of military personnel functions such as strength management, personnel accountability, requests for requisitions, reassignments, deployments, and personnel actions (promotions, awards, evaluations, separations, etc.). Conducting research to determine validity of military strength requirements and or appropriateness of personnel actions; compiling information of data for reports and presentations.
