The Administrative Officer performs a combination of routine and multiple and varying assignments under the general direction of a manager, team leader, project/program manager or more experienced professional. Applies experience and detailed knowledge to plan and accomplish assignments. Demonstrates some independence in planning time and using assigned resources. Contacts are primarily internal to the organization to share information, provide data and/or explain status of assignments.
Duties
Applies experience and detailed knowledge of administrative and management services essential to the direction and operation of an organization. Uses some independence in planning time and assigning resources in accomplishing administrative functions. Collects, analyzes and assembles data from these various sources, non-related sources and applies data to a wide range of situations. Gathers and correlates information through analyzing administrative records and reports and coordinates information with management representatives. Receives guidance on selecting approaches from a manager, project/program manager, team leader, or more experienced professional. Keeps management abreast of administrative challenges. Shares information pertaining to administrative processes throughout the Directorate and refers to management problems and work issues requiring solutions for organizational improvements.
Requirements
- US Citizenship is required.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- Successful completion of a security investigation may be required

Qualifications
To qualify for this position at the FV-G (FG 10-11) level, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower level, FV-F (FG 5-9). Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE includes screening and directing calls, use of automated software; tracking and analyzing travel authorizations and vouchers; organizing and maintaining electronic and paper filing/records systems; preparing memorandums using proper grammar, sentence structure, punctuation, spelling.OREducation Substitution: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.M., if related.ORCombination education and experience may be qualifying for this position.
