About the Position: This position is under the US Army Aviation and Missile Command, AMCOM Logistics Center, Logistics Support Directorate Redstone Arsenal, AL.
This position is being filled under the Expedited Hiring Authority (EHA) for Defense Acquisition Workforce Positions in accordance with 10 USC § 1705(g).
Duties
Work with senior logisticians in directing, developing, and/or implementing logistics policies, processes, initiatives and/or programs for major, highly complex weapon systems acquisition in the areas of Logistics Support.
Develop and establish plans and schedules for achieving objectives of electronic publications programs for major weapon systems.
Evaluate technical publications requirements, coordinates requirements with all appropriate organizations and provides guidance to other organizations on automation requirements for support for electronic publications.
Coordinate preparation and production of electronic equipment publications and maintains liaison with weapons systems community to ensure maximum consideration of their needs.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position which requires Level II certification in the Acquisition Career Field of Life Cycle Logistics within 24 months of entrance on duty.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes developing criteria and providing technical guidance in the publication efforts for aviation and missile systems; utilizing computer applications to assure interface, integration, and interactivity of the target digital environments; utilizing weapon systems hardware/software and maintenance concepts related to electronic publications. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-9).

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, in any field of study.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
