You will serve as an Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC/SYSADMIN) in the CNRF's Navy Region Readiness Commands (REDCOMs), Information Technology Department, N6 of NAVRESREDCOM SOUTHEAST.
Duties
You will review, approve, and track to completion all local service requests and all NMCI Area Customer Technical Representatives (ACTR) request for creating, moving or deactivating accounts (Move-Add-Changes, M/A/Cs).
You will support the NMCI enterprise tool (NET) for asset inventories, users, workstations and site profile information and special project submissions via a BAP tool.
You will identify potential threats by conducting vulnerability/risk management assessments and makes certain that information is maintained and security risks are mitigated.
You will be responsible for maintenance of related INFOSEC instructions, and ensures appropriate security documents are posted to command websites.
You will coordinate distribution and support of system(s), e.g., mobile phones, computers, multi-function devices and other devices, used in day to day operations and management of RCC JAX and subordinate commands.

- This position has been designated as a Cyber Workforce position in the DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) role of Information Systems Security Manager work role 722, proficiency level intermediate/journeyman.
- As a condition of employment, the incumbent of the position is required to maintain qualifications in accordance with DON Cyber Workforce Program requirements of SECNAV M-5239.3.
- The Cyber Workforce Program designation requires the incumbent to participate in a continuous learning (CL) program as described in SECNAVINST 5239.20A and SECNAV M-5239.3.
- An annual 20 hour minimum of Cyber Workforce related continuous learning must be documented in a current individual development plan signed by both the employee and supervisor.
- The incumbent must obtain the required credentials within 12 months of appointment and maintain those credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.3 for DCWF role of 722 proficiency level intermediate/journeyman.
- This position requires the incumbent to hold and maintain Security + certification or equivalent IT degree from an accredited institution.
- This position is categorized as Information Assurance Manager (IAM) Level 1 Certification (Intermediate/Journeyman).
- Failure to meet a condition of employment may result in disciplinary and/or adverse action up to removal from federal service.
- Expired certificates must be renewed.
- The incumbent may be required to work an irregular work schedule.
- This position requires some travel away from the duty station. Employee must be willing and able to travel on military or commercial aircraft.

Qualifications
I have one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined:
1. Attention to detail- Thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
2. Customer service- Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
3. Oral communication- Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
4. Problem solving- Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level 09 or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experienced is defined as:
Experience with position reviews, approving, and tracking the completion of all local service requests and all NMCI Area Customer Technical Representatives (ACTR) request for creating, moving or deactivating accounts (Move-Add-Changes, M/A/Cs) including direct involvement in software migration efforts where applications are moved from legacy to NMCI systems both locally and throughout their area of responsibility.
Experience approving and reviewing requests for any hardware changes, equipment moves, network installation, software installations and facility changes (physical and administrative M/A/Cs).
Experience with conducting of novel, complex project(s), and providing support to the CTR by representing regional interests and requirements in contract discussions and assists subordinate or administratively supported organizations with order development, submission and problem resolution, this includes account maintenance in e-Marketplace (invoicing tool) for order approval and tracking task order modifications.
Experience providing customer and/or claimant representation in discussions regarding Service Level Agreement (SLA) clarification and in defining appropriate support processes and ensuring that all service requests and M/A/Cs are in contractual agreement prior to submission to the CTR.
Experience working as the Region ISSM (Information System Security Manager) which establishes, documents, and monitors REDCOM cyber security program implementation plan, and ensures compliance with all DOD, DON, and other controlling information assurance directives and regulations.
