Duties
You will gather financial data from various sources, such as budgets, contracts, and expenditure reports.
You will monitor obligations and expenditures, ensuring financial accounts are balanced against plans and benchmarks.
You will analyze budgets and financial information to execute manpower requirements and resources in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
You will develop and implement standard appropriation financial execution and budget reports and tools required for customers.
You will study current processes; develop and lead implementation of standard processes and automated solutions.
You will provide data-driving insights and recommendations to support strategic financial decisions.
You will analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organization's programs and administrative operations.
You will write management/technical reports or contractual documents.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least 3 years of progressively responsible experience, 1 year of which was equivalent to at least NH-01 (GS-04 equivalent), in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector that demonstrates the ability to:
Analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions;
Plan and organize work; and
Communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
Education
In lieu of experience, education may be substituted if one or more of the following are met:
Successful completion of a four year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree.
or
Have a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The required education plus the percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
