About the Position: This position is under the supervision of the SOLDIER & CHEM/BIO R&S DIRECTORATE, CHEM/BIO PSID.
Duties
You will serve as Logistics Management Specialist and as a Weapons System Manager responsible for planning and executing assigned workload.
Ensures compliance with policies and recommends policy changes to fit changes in support requirements.
Represents TACOM on high level meetings, program reviews, , and working groups regarding logistics management issues.
Applies broad knowledge of logistics management skills spanning several distinct disciplines, such as maintenance management/operations, supply management/operations, and contract administration
Develops and presents convincing oral/written presentations to all levels of government and management.
Defines problems, develops recommendations for issues and resolutions of issues to be addressed.
Ensures coordination and/or participation in planning of all concerned functional elements.
Requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Position is designated noncritical sensitive as defined in DoD 5200.2-R. This requires that a personnel security investigation be adjudicated on a pre-appointment basis.
- Must file annual financial statement. Selected applicant will be required to file an annual Confidential Statement of Employment and Financial Interests.
- This position may require you to travel up to 50% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience at the GS-12 level which includes experience with managing complex programs, preferably information systems; must be able to communicate clearly/appropriately to different levels of leadership; must have knowledge of budget/procurement process, POM cycle, APMS, budget/resource planning.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
