About the Position: This position is located with the Martin Army Community Hospital, Fort Moore, Georgia which will require the incumbent to perform duties as a Training Specialist with the responsibility for developing, evaluating, coordinating, delivering and facilitating a resuscitative training program to all employees assigned to and/or employed by Martin Army Community Hospital. Hours of duty are Monday - Friday 0800 - 1700.
Duties
Plan and coordinate training courses to include requesting training rooms, recruiting and confirming students and instructors, and creating course schedule and instructor assignments.
Transport, set-up, tear-down and document inventory of training equipment and materials on all courses.
Research new training techniques and implement new programs as necessary in accordance with the American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines.
Compile comprehensive after-action reports as required on employees who have completed or need to complete resuscitation training.
Maintain hard copy of course rosters, tests and evaluations for all classes as required by established guidelines.
Requirements

- This position may require shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that demonstrates a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction, which includes assisting with the facilitation of a resuscitative training program within a medical treatment facility or other healthcare environment; conducting administrative tasks such as maintaining attendance rosters issuing training certification, and/or preparing reports to track employee's training; setting up classroom and equipment for training; and maintaining testing materials for training program. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or a major study in education or a subject area related to the position to be filled such as education, teaching, or instructing in an adult education program, secondary school, college and training instructions field of study. Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
