You will serve as an INTELLIGENCE SPECIALIST in NCIS.
All Defense Intelligence positions under the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) are in the excepted service by specific statute, 10 U.S.C. 1601. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.

Duties
You will possess a senior working-level knowledge of CI and RDA and serve as the analytical representative at interagency meetings and conferences.
You will provide relevant consultation and guidance to RDA and MTAC leadership, NCIS Special Agents (SAs), partner agencies and external customers.
You will provide CI analytical support to Department of the Navy Research, Development and Acquisition to enhance awareness of current and evolving foreign intelligence threats to programs.
You will collect, analyze interpret, evaluate and integrate complex data from multiple classified and unclassified sources.
You will identify intelligence gaps, specific collection requirements to fill gaps, and develop analytical tools and methodologies to identify gaps.
You will perform internal and external collaboration with an enterprise-wide focus.
You will answer requests for information and produce output in the form of intelligence assessments and analytic products for internal and external customers.
You will Perform tasks regarding the analysis, evaluation, interpretation and dissemination of information.
You will ensure that intelligence data is properly classified, stored and handled in accordance with applicable laws, policies and regulations.
You will proofread and review finished intelligence products for accurate use of grammar and content and to correct any grammatical, spelling, typographical, or compositional errors.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Successfully pass the Defense Language Proficiency Test
- May be subject to a polygraph examination or civilian equivalent test established by Naval Intelligence Critical Language Skills for Civilians in two or more modalities (listening, reading, speaking, or writing).
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent with experience in the private or public sector performing analytical tasks relative to cyber, counterintelligence, counterterrorism, and/or criminal intelligence matters relating to political, economic, social, cultural, geographic, or technical issues.
