About the Position: Thia position serves as Major Subordinate Command (MSC) senior expert on planning and policy for Civil Works water and related land resource projects within the regional area of a large USACE engineering division. PLEASE NOTE: The duty location will be determined upon selection and can be at any of the 6 MVD Districts.

Duties

Develops framework and strategy for the Division's water resources planning program for compliance. Establishes overall planning goals and objectives for input to the Planning and Policy Community. Oversees the development, maintenance, and implementation of the Environmental Justice strategic plan. Provides Division and districts regional direction for the improvement of the quality control/quality assurance program. Leads development of the procedures for conducting quality assurance audits. Ensures consistent application of water and related land resource planning policies and general policy guidance. Provides guidance to planning team members regarding technical assistance and expertise. Participates in strategic and tactical planning. Provides input to regional workforce/workload planning. Provides expertise on planning and/or policy for Civil Works water and/or related land resource projects within a large engineering division. Provides improvement recommendations, comprised of multiple integrated features such as dams, roads, bridges, levees, etc.
