The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an advisor responsible for planning, organizing, and managing administrative functions and ensuring day-to-day operations comply with applicable laws, instructions, and policies.
Duties
1. Analyzes, develops, and evaluates issues, and formulates recommendations to resolve substantive problems and
issues of effectiveness and efficiency of work operations in HQ Air Force Services Center.
2. Provides administrative management guidance and directions on organizational matters, staffing objectives, and higher headquarters suspense taskings.
3. Represents the Chief of Sustainment, Director of Staff and office as Project Officer for a variety of support programs such as senior leader directed initiatives with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
4. Serves as the org point of contact for HQ AF/A1 awards and office point of contact and liaison for special trophies and awards on behalf of the office Commander.
5. Prepares, plans, arranges and/or coordinates, and executes various aspects of the office Workshops Programs.

Qualifications
Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management positions. Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year, or will have one year within 120 days of closing of this announcement, at the next lower grade GS-11, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes planning, organizing, and managing administrative functions and ensuring day-to-day operations comply with applicable laws, instructions, and policies; program management for workflow, awards, task management and other special programs.

FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-11 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-12 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of Air Force Task Management and Workflow program goals and objectives; the methods of
evaluating the effectiveness of all action related to the program; and the relationship of the various Air Force,
MAJCOM, Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center, and Air Force Services Center entities involved in
the overall planning and execution of the management of this program, to include knowledge of Air Force personnel
systems and skill in applying personnel management policies, practices and procedures.
2. Knowledge of the organizational structure and missions of DoD Components, Air Force, Major Commands and
Air Force Services Center, and general understanding of military traditions, customs and protocols to interact with
internal and external organizations, to include knowledge of security regulations, practices and procedures;
knowledge of information, personnel, and physical security concepts.
3. Knowledge, skill and ability to complete comprehensive projects and prepare solutions to resolve substantive
problems and issues of effectiveness and efficiency of work operations in a major command program.
4. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; negotiate complex issues; articulate key policies
and positions with higher headquarters and external agencies; and maintain good working relationships with HQ Air
Force and other personnel.
5. Ability to interpret and apply rules, regulations and procedures.
6. Ability to attend to very sensitive issues and handle with discretion.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
