You will serve as a SUPERVISORY HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (MILITARY) in the HEADQUARTERS AND SUPPORT BATTALION of MARINE CORPS BASE.

Duties

You will serve as the Director, Joseph "Randy" Reichler Reception Center (JRRRC) for Camp Lejeune serving active, reserve, retired military, and their families. You will be aware of other agency programs with the JRRRC, their functionality and how they serve the customer base within the JRRRC. You will coordinate and ensure implementation of orders, policies and procedures governing joins (PCS, PCA, TAD FAP) for all Military and their families. You will organize, develop and exercise a high degree of initiative and independent judgement. You will coordinate and ensure implementation of orders, policies and procedures governing retirement services and separations. You will be responsible for providing support regarding a wide variety of military and liaison for civilian personnel programs. You will serve as the technical authority in a wide range of military personnel programs, policies and objectives. You will provide direction to accomplish the mission, provide personal supervision and ensure coordination of the operational activities of subordinate elements within the JRRRC.

• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
• Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
• You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: working with other agencies and vendors; following and implementing policies and procedures; supporting tenants and resolving issues. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

or

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.M., if related
