You will serve as a Program Scheduler in the MRO Production Division of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.

Duties

You will consolidate demand requirements determining labor hours for the weekly and quarterly workload schedule and distributing workload hours throughout each shop. You will demonstrate expert knowledge of production facilitating and workload planning systems and the ability to assess, gather and analyze information related to Depot level repair, rework, or modification of aircraft, engines, or components. You will provide production plans in a timely manner to ensure that workload is scheduled into cognizant shops based on demonstrated lead times, machine availability, manning levels and material in consonance with customers on delivery dates. You will analyze and execute programs and schedules from inception to completion, visualize potential problems, and develop workable solutions or plans to overcome obstacles or impediments to successful program or schedule completion. You will oversee the establishment and continuous tracking of program critical elements (i.e. funding, turnaround time, direct labor effectiveness, cost effectiveness, quality indices, etc.) in order to ensure task completion with maximum efficiency.

  • You may be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Aircraft, Components, and/or Engines Program experience is helpful; 2) Create and maintain an 8 quarter components induction plan; 3) Collaborate across the organization, represent the Command outwardly with current and prospective customers; 4) Monitor operations and identify systemic issues that can be improved to achieve increased production, contribute to significant cost savings or improve customer satisfaction; 5) Serve as the POC for all internal and external actions and requests for information, briefs, responses, reports, directives, tasks and data calls concerning FRC inductions scheduling of the assigned program; 6) Act as the SME for NDMS production planning applications; 7) Represent the Gross Demand Planning requirements related to schedule and scheduling changes; 8) Resolves problems and production impediments and attends production meetings and addresses status and constraints; 9) Communicates effectively orally and in writing.
