You will serve as a TECHNICIAN in the Expeditionary C3I & Cyber Division (JXY), Special Warfare & Expeditionary Systems Department (JX) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.
Duties
You will support tactical Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR), Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence capabilities, and Signals Intelligence (SIGINT).
You will be responsible for enabling systems/technologies supporting Electromagnetic Spectrum (EMS) missions for Special Operations and Expeditionary Forces, as well as Other Government Agencies (OGAs).
You will provide test execution and technical support for Radio Frequency (RF) spectrums/environments ranging in scope from basic system characterization to elaborate performance measurement/assessment associated with Developmental Testing [DT].
You will provide test focus primarily on Ground and Maritime systems, to include writing Test Plans, Test Reports, and associated execution articles, in support of test events.
You will actively support the growth of other team members through the leveraging and sharing of best practices, technical knowledge, lessons learned, sound technical writing, process optimization, feedback discussions, and general mentoring.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Work generally takes place in an office environment and technical laboratory at various locations on Center and will involve CONUS travel outside of NSWC Crane.
- Physical demands are generally sedentary with occasional light lifting associated with systems and/or test equipment. Field testing will include work in varying weather conditions.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent grade level) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing technical engineering leadership and guidance on test and evaluation projects to assess development, design, and system capability of ground or maritime systems to support technological advancement and sustainment of warfare programs.
