This duty location falls under the Richmond, VA locality salary table which is 21.38% above federal base pay which may change to Wash. DC-Baltimore locality in FY 24 if approved. About the Position: Serves as Executive Assistant, GS-0301-09, for the IMCOM Garrison Command.

Duties

Serves as primary assistant and office manager, performing a wide variety of office management and administration duties to ensure smooth and efficient operation of Garrison Command Group. Coordinates the Command Group schedule on matters pertaining to the management activities organizational and functional structures, system management, and administrative management. Identifies conflicts and is responsible for immediate resolution of a variety of problems with recommendations for final decision. Uses office automation (OA) and other office systems to prepare letters, memorandums, and reports. Utilizes electronic mail, electronic calendaring systems, video conference equipment as well as various software packages to prepare executive suites for all briefings hosted by the Command Team in the Command Group area. Receives telephone calls and visitors, screening those that can be handled personally

  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.

Preparing correspondence for distribution . This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
