You will serve as a Financial Management Analyst in the Fleet Readiness Center East of FLTREADCEN EAST.
This announcement uses the Certain Personnel of the DoD direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
Duties
You will be responsible for preparing miscellaneous reimbursements and disbursements and track the processing and posting of such transactions.
You will provide information about, and interpret standard organizational budgetary, accounting, or financial administrative procedures, practices, and regulations.
You will perform specialized work involving managerial or administrative work in connection with accounting systems.
You will perform a variety of other fiscal, accounting, or financial managerial duties and responsibilities may also be performed by incumbents of this position.
You will perform specialized work involving researching, validating, posting and tracking transportation charges.

- This is a Financial Management Level 1 certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Using automated financial/accounting systems to maintain financial data; 2) Examining, computing, and extracting data from records and databases to prepare financial reports; 3) Answering requests and providing advice to employees, supervisors and staff on financial related matters, rules, regulations, and procedures; and 4) Performing general office or program support duties such as maintaining office records, making and verifying arithmetic computations, and reviewing documents for completion and accuracy.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education:
1 full year of graduate level education
or
a Bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement.
