About the Position: Incumbent will serve as Administrative Support Specialist in support of an organizational element, performing a wide range of administrative, logistical, and budgetary duties in support of the overall work of the organization. In BLDG 2481 in an office space near the CDR. Office hours are from 0730- 1630 with a 30 min lunch.
Duties
Manage the operational schedule and direct the administrative operations for the Executive Service office.
Plan, develop and coordinate administrative and management functions and operations.
Coordinate and provide oversight for logistics and civilian personnel administration.
Coordinate and make travel arrangements for the MEDDAC CDR and MEDDAC Command Sergeant Major.
Assemble data, information, and knowledge sources for compilation, interpretation and presentation to support key issues under review by the Chief and senior staff.
Serve as the focal point for receipt and review of incoming tasks, projects, correspondence and other communications and materials.
Receive high-ranking visitors from both the military and civilian communities, to include members of Congress and the press media.
Analyze internal office workflow and establish procedures to improve effectiveness and efficiency of operations.
Conduct inventory of all property and ADP equipment.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Tier 1 security investigation or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes managing and coordinating schedules/meetings; coordinating travel arrangements in an automated system such as Defense Travel System (DTS); and preparing reports and/or briefings for review by senior staff. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
OR
Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, etc.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
