You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Business Operations/Comptroller of BUREAU OF MEDICINE AND SURGERY.
Duties
You will report to the Supervisory Financial Management Analyst, Budget Division.
You will be responsible for budget formulation.
You will be responsible for budget execution.
You will be responsible for DTS/travel oversight and compliance.
Requirements

- This is a Financial Management Level II certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience formulating budget and estimates to support plans, programs and activities, including presenting and defending budget estimates before authorities.
Experience reviewing and evaluating budget requests; control and reporting of obligations and expenditures.
Experience developing, determining and interpreting budgetary policies and practices.
Experience analyzing and recommending costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organization's programs and administrative operations.
Experience implementing legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets.
Experience implementing internal controls and providing advice on effective and efficient methods for the acquisition and use of funds to support the organization's programs and activities.
