About the Position: This position is with U.S. Army Mission and Installation Contracting Command Headquarters and will serve serves as a Executive Management Specialist in the Command Group.

Duties

Evaluates issues that are sometimes diverse in nature, requiring input from subordinate organizations and staff elements. Establishes prioritization of scheduled events based on institutional knowledge and commander’s intent. Researches and coordinates with staff elements in order to depict executive level travel, VIPs, major events, social activities, and speeches. Determines necessity for legal review regarding event attendance or acceptance of gifts, etc. Directs the administrative operations of the office. Ensures the most efficient and effective support is provided in the execution of command group responsibilities. Provides advice, assistance and establishes priorities on all administrative matters. Prepares travel reimbursement vouchers in DTS and any necessary correspondence upon completion of trips. Prepares, manages, and completes a variety of substantive correspondence in accordance with AR-25-50 and other guidelines to ensure accuracy. Compiles, analyze, and correlates voluminous correspondence from a variety of sources with different requirements and formats to ensure accurate and relevant information prior to submitting for signature. Applies analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to issues concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of Staff Action Control Program. Researches, analyzes, and develops methods to improve the accuracy, adequacy and timeliness of staff actions, correspondence packages. Develops, manages, and maintains an automated staff action suspense control system to ensure proper processing of various documents and Command Group actions.

General Experience: Three years progressively responsible experience, 1 year of which was equivalent to at least the NH-01/GS-04 grade level, which includes work such as: 1) Performing executive staff actions and providing high-level administrative support necessary to efficiently execute the responsibilities at the command level. 2) Maintains correct protocol procedures and precedence. 3) Maintaining staff correspondence and various documents and Command level actions (such as reviewing, editing, and tracking). This definition of general experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-01/GS-04). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. All Current Federal Employees MUST attach a current SF-50 for consideration. Without a SF-50, your application WILL NOT be considered. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementOrganizational AwarenessTechnical Competence This NH-02 in the AcqDemo Pay banding scale does not have a control point. The NH pay band covers grades GS-05 to GS-11 on the GS scale. This position is not subject to a salary control point.
