You will serve as a Management and Program Analyst (Airfield) of COMMANDER - NAVAL INSTALLATIONS.

Duties

You will extract data from databases to support conclusions or recommendations. You will create a written plan of action to document continuous process improvement initiatives. You will analyze deficiencies to develop resolutions to problems.

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Demonstrated superior performance as an airfield manager at a DoD airfield.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Managing all aspects of the airfield to ensure daily operations are met; Integrating with regional and/or installation air operations counterparts as well as airfield management supporting agencies to evaluate best business practices; Collecting and/or analyzing performance metrics to ensure data is accurate; Promoting organizational change initiatives designed to reduce costs and improve service; Serving as an airfield subject matter expert and as a representative and/or liaison on various associated boards and meetings; Explaining technical information to senior leaders on airfield facilities issues (runway/taxiway and aircraft parking apron pavement condition indices, aircraft hangar and ATC tower material condition requirements; etc.); Implementing transportation regulations (e.g., flight handling, routing and airspace structures, clear zone requirements, weather and flying operations; etc.) to ensure flight line operations conform to established safety practices and procedures.
