Duties
Responsible for Technology Foundation Services (TFS) activities surrounding audit readiness and incorporation of Information Assurance policies and initiatives instituted.
Support of DLA Cyber Command Readiness Inspection preparations to include documentation, coordination, tracking, and development processes surrounding identification, remediation, and reporting of non-compliant NIPRNet and SIPRNet IT assets.

Identify and assess open vulnerabilities within the organization's IT infrastructure; Develop and implement effective strategies to remediate identified vulnerabilities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize and address vulnerabilities based on their criticality.

Qualifications
To qualify for an IT Specialist (INFOSEC), your resume and supporting documentation must support:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Applies IT security principles and institute security measures for hardware, software and configuration testing and evaluation at the system level.
Utilizes and implements intrusion detection technologies, virtualization technologies, server-based computing, server, desktop and mobile operating systems and configurations.
Analyzes and interprets technical documentation and preparation of instructions, manuals, policy, procedural documentation, and customer level communications.
Applies and executes routine IT security related tasks and assignments such as installation of security patches, anti-virus, and other security related tools or utilities.
Interprets IT security compliance scans, research findings, apply patches, fixes, and report compliance based on compliance requirements.
Develops detailed security documentation, action plans, and reports as it relates to security directives, taskings, security checklists, security vulnerabilities, audits, and inspection findings.
Writes code using scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell for automation and scripting tasks.
