You will serve as an ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN in the FLEET READINESS DIVISION, FLEET READINESS PORTFOLIO of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER, PORT HUENEME DIVISION.
Duties
You will interface with government and contractor engineers, scientist, technicians, and managers to develop new and investigate existing technical information.
You will serve as a team member assisting the team leader in alignment projects.
You will serve as a project lead/technical representative for the development and integration of Combat System Alignment Procedures.
You will investigate, track, and coordinate resolution of Combat System Alignment problems related to AEGIS Combat Systems and Surface Combatant Combat Systems.
You will research and resolve complex Combat System Alignment problems and coordinate with Navy and industry activities to ensure verification, isolations and resolution of high priority combat system operational problems.
You will manage the onsite Combat System Alignment Laboratory to ensure all CSA equipment’s are calibrated, organized and readily available for alignment assignments.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyzing technical engineering weapon or combat system designs and data to identify and recommend solutions regarding the capabilities or functioning of ship modifications.
