You will serve as a TECHNICIAN (Lead Fleet Readiness AN/SLQ-32 V7 TECHNICIAN) in the Maritime Electronic Warfare Systems Division (WXM), Spectrum Warfare Systems Dept. (WX) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.
Duties
You will serve as Lead Fleet Readiness AN/SLQ-32 V7 TECHNICIAN, in support of both AN/SLQ-32(V)6 and V7 supporting the Surface Electronic Warfare Improvement Program (SEWIP).
You will oversee completion of all SOVT efforts working with government and contractor teams installing SEWIP Block 2 and 3 upgrades, ensuring systems are installed IAW US Navy specifications, on time and within budget.
You will interface with Maritime Electronic Warfare personnel, IWS2 Program Office Managers, SEA21 and PMR liaisons for production updates from shipyard assigned contractors, working alongside assigned OSIC.
You will develop and make recommendations for: TRS, Installation Operation and Checkout procedures (IOC), Engineering Change Proposals (ECP), Ship Change Documents (SCD), Installation Control Documents (ICDS), and Ship Installation Drawings (SID).
You will provide specific technical expertise/experience to include Electronic Warfare Operations, Preventive and Corrective Maintenance of Maritime EW Systems, Engineering Investigations, and SEWIP upgrades.
You will consult with other technicians, project engineers and contractors to exchange information, coordinate on projects and discuss/resolve complex electronics engineering and administrative problems.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You may be required to perform shipyard, shipboard, laboratory, or office work.
- You must be willing and able to work onboard ships.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing technical engineering leadership and guidance on test and evaluation projects to assist in the execution of installation or maintenance and repair of shipboard electronic warfare systems or subsystems to support technological advancement and sustainment of the fleet.
