Qualifications
We are looking for at least one year of specialized experience related to this position as described below:
To qualify for the GS-13 level, you need to have at least one year of full-time experience equivalent to the GS-12 level defined as providing expert support and guidance to EPA's records management program including EPA's records schedules and EPA's enterprise records management systems.
Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of the range of federal information and records management mandates, directives, laws, policies, regulations, and precedents applicable to the administration of the Agency's National Records Program, and Records Retirement Program, sufficient to serve as an expert, and ensure compliance with federal and Agency requirements.
Ability to perform records information management work that includes planning, controlling, directing, organizing, training, promoting and other activities involved with respect to records creation, records maintenance
Knowledge of Agency program applicable policies, goals and objectives, the sequence and timing of key program events and milestones and methods of evaluating the worth of program accomplishments.
Skill to plan, organize, and direct team and/or project work, and to negotiate effectively with management to accept and implement recommendations.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
