About the Position: As an Acquisition Manager for the FVL CFT, you will work to rapidly transition leader-approved capability requirements, technology, developmental capabilities and innovative solutions for integration and synchronization into the acquisition process as well as develop, acquire, field and sustain affordable integrated state of the art equipment to improve Soldier dominance in Army operations today and in the future.
Duties
Supervisory probationary period may be required.
Serving as an Expert/Senior Technical Acquisition Advisor for an assigned Cross Functional Team (CFT).
Reporting on areas of acquisition, program structure and Department of Defense (DoD) modernization and integration to the CFT Director.
Overseeing the CFT acquisition cell responsible for the coordination and direction of the development of long term acquisition strategies.
Evaluating and assessing acquisitions priorities within the CFT portfolio.
Executing administrative and personnel management responsibilities which include addressing staffing needs, planning work, establishing priorities, evaluating performance, approving leave, and other managerial duties.
Requirements

- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
- Selectees must meet position requirements for Practitioner at Level III in the Acquisition Career Field Program Management within 60 months of entrance on duty.
- This is a testing designated position; the incumbent is required to sign DA Form 5019-R and pass a drug screening prior to hiring and will be subject to periodic and random drug testing, in accordance with AR 600-85 and DoD Directive 2010.9.
- This is a Critical Acquisition Position (CAP). Must be a member of an Acquisition Corps at the time of appointment or eligible for a waiver. (Note: Waiver is position-specific and must be approved prior to being appointed to the position.)
- This position requires a 3-year tenure agreement. Must sign DD Form 2888 (Critical Acquisition Position Service Agreement) and execute, as a condition of employment, a written tenure agreement.
- This position requires submission of Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, upon entering the position and annually thereafter.
- Must be able to travel away from the normal duty station up to 30%.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: (1) advising on acquisition objectives for an assigned organization; (2) supporting the planning and execution of life cycle management of all programs within assigned portfolio; and (3) advising on the full range of acquisition planning and management functions particularly focused on early technology and innovation insertions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14).
