About the Position: You will serve as the Chief, Real Estate Division, responsible for directing and managing the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pacific Ocean Division real estate program. The real estate program includes appraisal, acquisition, management and disposal, and planning and control of technical areas involving Department of Army real property, military and civil, within the assigned geographical region.
Duties
Serve as principal advisor to the Division Commander concerning all real estate (RE) programs, activities, and issues.
Provide staff oversight and quality assurance of all Division RE programs, activities, and missions to meet the requirements of the Army, Air Force, DOE and other serviced federal agencies.
Provide regional interface on RE matters and activities with regional and national offices of other federal/non-federal agencies; state and local governments; congressional committees and staff; the Army MACOMs and DA; and the Air Force MAJCOMs.
Plan and direct the RE programs including the specialized functional areas of Acquisition, Appraisal, Management and Disposal, Planning and Control, Base Closure, DOD executive agent programs for Recruiting, and other special projects or programs.
Review and approve RE portion of quality control plans and implementation of preauthorization and post-authorization reports submitted to the HQUSACE to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and delegations of authorities.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience in directing site investigations, technical studies, negotiations for acquisition, and operating needs through subordinates in a realty program; leading projects that include leasing, planning, funding, and feasibility of real estate program. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14).
