You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST in the Resource Management Directorate of SUPERVISOR OF SHIPBUILDING BATH.

Duties

You will serve as the Real-time Automated Personnel Identification Systems (RAPIDS) Site Security Manager. You will serve as the Command Messaging Administrator (CMA) responsible for managing the Naval Regional Enterprise Messaging System (NREMS) to include classified and unclassified messages. You will develop alternative solutions for complex security problems.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This is a bargaining unit position.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-07) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: "Developing solutions to resolve complex security issues to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of security programs for organizational and contractor activities." Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

A master's or equivalent graduate degree

or

2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

An LL.B. or J.D., if related
