About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at US Army Cyber Command ,Fort Meade. MD.
Duties
Serve as the contingency manpower and personnel specialist within the J1 directorate in USCYBERCOM.
Responsible for coordination of all J11 contingency manning and manpower programs and the integration of service deployed personnel within the CYBERCOM area of responsibility (AOR); responsible for the resolution of issues concerning such support.
Advise senior leaders and branch chief on IA and task force (TF) augmentation requirements, JMDs, deployment manning documents, and status of unit tasking(s) for IA in support of CONOPS.
Review, analyze and manage information including execution orders (EXORDS), operations orders (OPORDS), task management tool (TMT), and programming documents to insure resourcing sufficiency for CONOPS.
Serves as J11’s representative at conferences, briefings, seminars and meetings with higher, lateral and subordinate headquarters regarding contingency manpower and manning requirements.
. Provide JMD expertise and JTF formation input into workgroups, boards, bureaus, cells and planning forums in support of joint and /or combined operations.
Conduct substantive and complex analysis on a variety of contingency issues for theater missions as they relate to the CYBERCOM mission and lines of operation—from war to theater-engagement activities.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Requires TDY 10% of the time.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance with Poly; eligibility for access to Special Compartmentalized Information (SCI) for the duration of employment.
