Duties

You will create and integrate SAP environments for new and existing requirements. You will coordinates all SAP environment matters to eliminate duplication of effort and ensure leaders are fully informed on the SAP architecture contained within the SYSCOM. You will operate in a highly classified and multi-level security environment and will facilitate fully informed decision making across the entire SAP architecture. You will validate, review and approve requests for SAP enhanced support requiring security, contracting, cost, financial and space support. You will maintain insight on program issues and support, as needed, to mitigate and eliminate issues.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This is a Financial Management Level 3 certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 (GS-12/13) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing expert insight and advice concerning portfolio-wide cost/schedule/performance health, systemic issues, resource and facilities, and risk; 2) Conveying schedules and requirements for support and test & evaluation products and tracking the status of key test activity and products being generated in support program events, milestones, and plans; 3) Conducting training on safeguarding information, personnel, property, assets, and/or materials from theft, loss, misuse, fraud, disclosure, espionage, or sabotage, natural disaster, or compromise of information or material, which is considered vital to national defense and security; 4) Maintaining insight on program issues and support, as needed, to mitigate and eliminate issues; 5) Serving as the focal point for coordination of all SAP environment matters to eliminate duplication of effort and ensure leaders are fully informed on the SAP architecture contained within the SYSCOM.
