As a Support Services Specialist, the incumbent manages and serves as Liaison, addressing agency support programs related to transit benefits, parking issues, bicycle policy, transportation services, travel, and correspondence control. The incumbent provides policy guidance, advise, and support in administering the Agency’s ADL Program, ensuring coordination and collaboration with the Office of Human Resources (HAHR), FHWA Leadership, and program participants.

Qualifications
To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet the specialized experience requirements. For the Grade 13, you must have at least one year of experience equal or equivalent to the GS-12, it must include:
Experience providing oversight and technical guidance to an organization on space issues or transit benefit program issues which may include coordinating space availability throughout an agency, providing advice and support to management on the program, communicating program goals and needs, and recommending alternatives or solutions to major program issues.
You cannot use education to qualify at this grade level.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Technical Competence - Uses knowledge that is acquired through formal training or extensive on-the-job experience to perform one's job; works with, understands, and evaluates technical information related to the job; advises others on technical issues. Knowledge of the principles of federal transit benefit programs. Knowledge of Federal Laws, GSA Regulations, Departmental directives and administrative policies and practices pertaining to transit benefit, parking management, and alternative duty location (ADL) programs.
Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization, high ranking management officials, supervisors and technical staff, and administrative support staff.
