This position is located at Bureau of Engraving and Printing, in the Cybersecurity Policy and Compliance Division. As a Government Information Specialist (Privacy Act), you will assume the leadership role in the administration of a Privacy program that ensures the protection of information that is maintained by divisions and offices within the Bureau.
Duties
As a Government Information Specialist (Privacy Act), you will:
Develop and implement Bureau privacy management policy and procedures and develop and meet any BEP privacy data call requirements (e.g. Treasury, Office of Management and Budget (OMB), National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) etc.).
Develop, maintain, and monitor enterprise policies and procedures that reflect current business practices, as required by privacy statutes and regulations.
Develop and complete Privacy Threshold Analyses, Privacy Impact Assessments, and System of Records Notices (SORNs) for all BEP systems as needed.
Participate in the development, implementation, and ongoing compliance monitoring of business associate agreements to ensure privacy concerns, requirements and responsibilities are addressed.
Create and conduct educational and ongoing awareness programs for department employees, including providing initial and ongoing training on privacy requirements based on federal laws, providing updated training as necessary based on changes in laws and/or departmental policies, and monitoring to assure that employees complete required training.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:
Assisting in or providing recommendations on the development of policies and procedures to ensure compliance to organization practices or procedures; AND
Creating and/or editing documents to support agency Privacy projects and program initiatives, such as System of Records Notices (SORN), Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA), Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA), Information Sharing and Access Agreements, or Office of Management and Budget (OMB) mandates; AND
Experience working within a Privacy program that directly relates to Privacy Act Laws and regulations.
In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks.
