The Employee serves as a Management & Program Analyst, providing support to Primary Care Service operations at the G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VAMC (GVSMVAMC). GVSMVAMC serves a population of over 90,0000 Veterans spanning 50 central Mississippi counties and three Louisiana parishes.
Duties

Performs management analyses, research projects and provides advisory services on technical compliance, data integrity, workflow & processes, and achievement of numerous and varied performance measures for Primary Care Service management and subordinate clinics.
Work is accomplished on a weekly/monthly basis for compliance and data integrity; daily/weekly/monthly for numerous and varied performance measure activities, and monthly or on an ad-hoc basis for work-flow & processes, with this work being quite frequent with the service line emphasis on systems redesign and rapid-cycle improvement across various primary care sites.
Analyses, recommendations and solutions are produced using a variety of tools including but not limited to VSSC reports, Pyramid Analytics, VistA reports/programming routines (e.g. FILEMAN & ACRP) and Microsoft Office products (e.g. Excel, Access, etc.).
Reviews directives from higher authority and advises on potential impact on the organization, recommending appropriate process and policy changes. Reviews, revises and drafts Policy Memoranda, SOPs and delegations of authority which express the operating policies of Primary Care Service.
The employee collects, compiles, analyzes and presents data regarding the integrity of the PCMM package. He/she may prepare national, VISN, Medical Center, Service Level, division and clinic level reports as needed, on a weekly and monthly basis, using established reports and personally-developed adhoc VISTA FILEMAN, Pyramid Analytics and VISTA Ambulatory Care Reports Package (ACRP) programming routines.
Extracts, analyzes, and inputs data needed to support the quality review documentation. Communications analyses regularly to Primary Care Leadership in written and verbal formats.
Functions as the back-up ADPAC providing technical information regarding assigned VistA application(s), including associated menus, options, security keys, and files.
Work Schedule: Other-Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm, subject to change based on the needs of the facility.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS GS-09: Select the one statement below that best describes your current level of experience and/or education to meet the minimum requirements for this position.
Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped me with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-07 grade level in Federal service. Specialized experience is performing management analyses for research projects and provides advisory services on technical compliance, data integrity, workflow and processes. NOTE: Your experience must be fully documented in your resume and must include job title, duties, month and year start/end dates AND hours worked per week.-OR-
Education: A master's degree or equivalent graduate degree, or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree, or an LL.B. or J.D. if related. To be creditable, graduate education must be in a related field that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. (Transcripts Required) -OR-
Combination Education and Experience: An equivalent combination of specialized experience and graduate education as described above that demonstrates my ability to perform the duties of this position. Experience must be detailed. (Transcripts Required)
Physical Requirements: The work is sedentary in nature. Manual dexterity is required in operation of a personal computer. The work sometimes requires walking, standing, bending, lifting, or carrying light items such as paper, books, and charts.
