You will serve as a Financial Management Analyst in the Fleet Readiness Center East of FLTREADCEN EAST.

Duties

You will assist in formulation of budgets and estimates to support plans, programs, and activities. You will evaluate budget requests, and control and reporting of obligations and expenditures. You will perform studies or assist others with full scale studies. You will provide information about, and interpret standard organizational budgetary, accounting, or financial administrative procedures, practices, and regulations. You will perform a variety of fiscal, accounting, or financial management duties and responsibilities. You will research guides to locate accounting, budgetary and financial information and prepare summaries for use by managers.

Requirements

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• This is a Financial Management Level 1 certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1.) Assisting in the performance of functions such as: formulation of budget and estimates to support plans, programs, and activities; review and evaluate requests, control and reporting of obligations and expenditures. 2.) Providing information about, and interpreting standard organizational budgetary, accounting, or financial administrative procedures, practices, and regulations. 3.) Researching guides to locate accounting, budgetary and financial information and preparing summaries for use by managers. 4.) Doing a variety of fiscal, accounting, or financial management duties and responsibilities.
