Duties
You will serve as a Human Resources Assistant for military actions in the Directorate of Human Resources responsibilities include processing a wide variety of clerical and military personnel actions for the organization.
You will process a variety of personnel actions for officers and enlisted Soldiers.
You will analyze and review recommendations for awards for compliance with DA regulations and Army policies.
You will advise military personnel of assignment requirements, conducts and schedules reassignment interviews.
You will analyze cases, ensures requirements are met, and determines priority.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- During duty hours, the position incumbent may be required to conduct soldier readiness processing and/or to man emergency operation centers in the event of emergency deployment readiness exercises or other exercises or emergencies.
- The position is subject to recall after duty hours as necessary.
- The position incumbent is subject to performing shift work.
- Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a favorable NACI.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 5% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing administrative support functions associated with processing Military personnel actions such as travel actions, assignments, awards and benefits promotions/advancements, and separations and retirements and maintaining official Military personnel records. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
