About the Position: The position is located at the Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCOE), Ft. Benning, Georgia 31905. The "Maneuver Center of Excellence" is located 100 miles south of Atlanta and is adjacent to Columbus, Georgia and Phenix City, Alabama. The geography and climate are ideal for year round military training. Public transportation and free parking is available.
Duties
Determine objectives, sets priorities, and ensures sound management processes and procedures are in place.
Perform supervision, leadership, and personnel management tasks.
Evaluate work performance and provides feedback to others on their performance and ensure requirements are met.
Plan and direct Military Human Resources Programs.
Establish and implement policies on administrative and personnel management, training and utilization.
Oversee the daily management of Reassignment Processing, Strength Management and IPPS-A.
Plan, distribute, coordinate, and monitor work assignments of others.
Requirements
- Temporary Duty (TDY) travel up to 5% may be required.
- Employee must be willing and able to travel in military and commercial aircraft and vehicles.
- Due to the nature of this position, employees are required to work both planned and unscheduled overtime.
- Employee is required to work other than duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
- A background investigation is required, National Agency Check with Written Inquiries.
- Employee may be required to be on-call after duty hours

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience with a variety of military Human Resources Management (HRM) services, such as Transition/Retirement DD214 processing, military in/out-processing, issuing military ID cards and processing units/individuals for deployment/redeployment. Experience utilizing an automated system supporting military personnel operations and functions, such as IN&OUT Processing (INOUTPROC), Transition Processing (TRANSPROC), Enlisted Distribution Assignment System (EDAS), Total Officer Personnel Management Information System II (TOPMIS II) and Electronic Military Personnel Office (eMILPO). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-11 or equivalent.
