You will serve as a IT Specialist (INFOSEC - DATAMGT) in the Marine Depot Maintenance Command of MAINTENANCE CENTER ALBANY.
Duties
You will monitor and troubleshoot system availability...
You will recover data in the event of hardware or software failure.
You will ensure customers receive current versions of supported software as they become available.
You will schedule, monitor and verify the integrity of system backups and restore files as needed.
You will correct security vulnerabilities in assigned systems in response to problems identified in vulnerability reports.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Knowledge of information processing standards and procedures Ability to apply knowledge of current automation technology and practices
Knowledge of computer network administration
Knowledge of computer security
Knowledge of the objectives, overall design, and operating characteristics of related hardware and software
